Due to recent developments which have unfortunately placed my life at risk, I have taken the difficult decision to temporarily limit my participation in a number of public activities and community events that I would ordinarily attend and support.

This decision has not been made lightly, as serving and engaging with the community has always been close to my heart. I remain deeply committed to the wellbeing, progress and aspirations of our people. I continue to appreciate the unwavering support, prayers and understanding shown by many during this challenging period.

I kindly ask for patience, respect and understanding during this time.

May we continue to work together in building peaceful, united and caring communities.

One of the things I hold closest to my heart is the simple privilege of serving others. I do so with respect, dedication, and as much humility as I can carry. Doing so knowing that I am not above the people, but one of them. Every moment of service, no matter how small means something to me, and I cherish it deeply, for it reminds me why I was entrusted with this responsibility.

It is with deep sadness that I have learned of the passing of Mr. Mzimasi Sixaka, a dedicated educator and a pillar of our community.

He was more than a teacher, Mhlekazi was a mentor and an inspiration to many of us at Amazizi Senior Secondary School. His contribution to education and the shaping of young minds will never be forgotten.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Sixaka family, the school and the entire community during this difficult time.

We strongly call upon our law enforcement agencies to act swiftly and decisively to ensure that those responsible for this senseless act are arrested and brought to justice.

May his soul rest in peace.
