The confirmation journey started with baptism. This journey requires much preparation including the sacrament of Reconciliation.
Along the way we have 5 stops. (Rites)
1. The rite of Acceptance
After the candidates decide to follow Christ they are presented to the community to accept them.
2. Rite of Commitment
After much training the candidates make a final commitment for or against Christ. The whole community joins them I this.
3 Rite of Election
Months before feast of confirmation the community looks at these candidates and elects those candidatee who faithfully had continued on this journey. The candidates are called and recommended for Confirmation.
4. Rite of Confirmation
The sacrament of confirmation is celebrated by the Bishop.
The Christian family welcomes the new adults into the community.
5. Rite of sharing
Three months after Feast of confirmation the newly confirmed gather with the community and they share how they continued Christ's mission as members of the community.

In the absence of a procession for the feast of Corpus Christi in the diocese, we ask parishes to involve the candidates and sponsors of those who are preparing for the sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation during the Liturgy at Holy Mass.

Our Story

There Nine C’s every Catechist should uphold :

  • To be Christ-centered is to reflect our own personal love for Christ and to reflect God’s love for the children.

  • To be Clear is to be simple and concise in our teaching. Simplicity comes from being prepared. We need to be direct and to know our subject matter.

  • To be Consistent, develop a general pattern for teaching so that most of the time children know what to expect. Variety is important too, but so is repetition. In fact, repetition is essential to learning. So don’t be afraid to repeat.
