🚨 BREAKING NEWS: 🚨ATTENTION ALL Ottery Public Library PATRONS📣

Several library books have reportedly overstayed their welcome and are refusing to come home.
Witnesses describe them as "well-read," "slightly dusty," and "somewhere in the house."
The good news? During Fine-Free Week (5 - 11 September), there will be no overdue fines for returning these missing library treasures.
Don't let your borrowed books become permanent residents. 🏃‍♀️ Dust them off, gather them up, and bring them back!

Warning: Dance Bingo at Ottery Public Library may cause uncontrollable laughter, happy feet, and legendary dance moves! The ladies did not come to play at Ottery Library's Women's Day event! 😄 Our amazing women brought the energy, the smiles, and enough dance-floor magic to fill every shelf in the library. Let's just say some of those dance skills deserve their own library card! What a precious photo moment - this little one visited the Ottery Public Library with her mom a few days ago and became completely engrossed in a book. Introducing children to the library at a young age encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love for reading. Libraries are gateways to knowledge, adventure, and endless possibilities. And when parents read to their little ones every day, they help build confidence, vocabulary, and a strong foundation for future success. 📚 A library card is one of the greatest gifts you can give a child. 🌸 Pause, Breathe, Bloom 🌸

Ottery Public Libraryhosted a highly successful Women's Day celebration this morning, bringing together women from our community for a morning of inspiration, empowerment, and self-reflection under the theme "Pause, Breathe, Bloom."

We were honoured to welcome an incredible lineup of guest speakers who shared their wisdom, experiences, and messages of hope. Special thanks to author Llewellyn Anthony, motivational speaker Justine Masamba, and Aishah Abrahams, representative of Sh'Zen, whose insightful presentations encouraged attendees to embrace self-care, resilience, and personal growth.

The event created a safe and uplifting space where women could pause from their daily responsibilities, take a moment to breathe, and focus on their well-being while celebrating their achievements and potential. Through inspiring talks, meaningful conversations, and shared experiences, the morning blossomed into a beautiful celebration of womanhood and community.

A heartfelt thank you to our speakers, attendees, partners, Ottery Public Library staff and everyone who contributed to making this event such a memorable success. Your enthusiasm and support demonstrated the strength and unity of the women in our community.
