Environmental Monitoring Group EMG is an NGO based in Cape Town, South Africa.

We believe that society's relationship with the natural environment is inextricably bound to our relationships with each other, and that sustainable use of the planet's resources is not possible without political, economic and social justice. Our focus is thus on building democratic, fair and sustainable decision-making processes that relate to the use and management of natural resources.

Today at the Water Justice Political School we are on a tour of the where we are also holding the workshop. The tour is focusing on water and how the castle was built over the river. The castle was built around well, with the well directly at the center. Showing how water was colonized and illustrating the relationship between water and power.
