"On March 31st a $2.2 billion loan to Enbridge, the company behind Line 3, is due for renewal by 18 major banks. Between now and then, we’re going to be campaigning hard to get those banks to walk away from that toxic loan.

Join the launch party February 16 https://stopthemoneypipeline.com/defund-line-3-launch/

Over the next 47 days, we will be taking action online and offline, we’ll be swamping CEOs phone lines and email inboxes, and we’ll be projecting massive messages outside of the New York homes of bank executives.

As an Anishinaabe woman who is dedicating her life to stopping Line 3, I am asking you to join us in this effort.

RSVP for our Campaign Kick-Off event on Tuesday, February 16th at 5 PT / 6 MT / 7 CT / 8 ET.

At the campaign kick-off event, you'll hear from Indigenous leaders at the forefront of the resistance. Stop the Money Pipeline organizers will walk through the campaign plan step-by-step, let you know how you can participate at every stage, and give you all the tools you need to involve your friends and your community in the campaign.

Steady direct action resistance forms cracks in the world of profit margins.

As we learned at Standing Rock, Indigenous land defense poses a deep reputational risk to the financial institutions profiting from oil pipelines.

Our commitment and self-sacrifice in taking this direct action sends a clear message to Wall Street executives that funding toxic projects like Line 3 comes with what bank executives call “social risk.”

If anyone can give a little, anything would help!

This is the Family of Eishia Hudson,

My daughter was a 16-year-old Indigenous girl who was murdered by a Winnipeg police officer on April 8, 2020. We are currently seeking financial support towards our legal funds following the recent decision by the Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) in the murder of my daughter by a Winnipeg Police officer. The officer was let off, with no charges or penalties. The officer was not required to be interviewed for the investigation despite his statement after the killing
contradicting video evidence. The IIU is led by a former Crown prosecutor and mostly staffed by former police officers. The use of force report, which has not been released to the public, was also written by someone with “an extensive background in law enforcement.” With this decision, our family is going forward with a inquest and is also calling out for a public inquiry to be called by the province. We demand change within the IIU and the Winnipeg Police Service on how they handle oversight of investigations involving law enforcement towards BIPOC communities.

We ask for you to stand with us in solidarity and to help support us!
My daughter Eishia was a young girl who should have had a long life ahead of her, and within seconds that officer put an end to that. Eishia had a strong bright smile that could lighten a room, she had a contagious laugh, and she was loved by everybody. She was very athletic, loving hockey and basketball. She was very ambitious when it came to the court. She was very creative and artistic. Eishia loved to learn new things, take on projects, and worked hard to
succeed. Eishia was a great aunty; she loved spending time with her nieces and nephew, and it made her smile just seeing the smile on their faces. She was a Daughter, a granddaughter, a sister, an aunty, a cousin, a loyal person, a friend and so much more.

Please help us with anything you can in our fight for justice. We thank you all for everything you’re doing and have done. If you have attended her vigils and/or rallies we've put together in our fight for justice and change regarding police brutality towards the BIPOC community, if you
have supported us in person or through social media, everything and anything is very well appreciated! We will continue this fight together! Stay loud and stand strong!

Thank you,
The Family Of Eishia Hudson

With a landmark court ruling, the Naso people of Panama have won the rights to ancestral territory that includes two national reserves the tribe will now help manage. The victory comes as mounting evidence shows that Indigenous groups are often the best protectors of their lands.
