SACP encourages the people of South Africa and the world to join hands in solidarity with each other.

reminds us that, as the people of South Africa, we're not free until the people of Palestine and all who still fight for the right to self determination are free.

SOLIDARITY MEAL WITH UNEMPLOYED SECTOR

As part of our Know and Act in Your Neighbourhood campaign on a Mandela Day , the SACP also shared a meal with the unemployed sector in our community.

For us, this is more than charity. It is a symbol of socialism - caring for one another, and ensuring that no one is left behind.

It is also a message of encouragement to pursue job hunting and to keep organizing. The crisis of unemployment is man-made and can only be defeated through a working-class government and mass mobilization.

The SACP remains committed to fighting for decent jobs, skills development, and a social wage that protects the poor while we struggle for full employment.

Together we eat. Together we struggle. Together we will win.

South African Communist Party 🔴⚫️🟡

Today we painted the SACP emblem at Kgotsong Stadium.
The hammer and sickle represent the unity of workers and the poor. The red star represents our revolutionary tradition and international solidarity.
We painted it here as a symbol that the SACP is here to remain. We are in our communities to build, to defend public assets, and to fight for a Nala that transforms.

DESTRUCTION OF YOUTH DEVELOPMENT CENTRE ON MANDELA DAY

Today, as part of our Know and Act in Your Neighbourhood campaign on a Mandela Day, the SACP visited the former Youth Development Centre.

This centre has been vandalized beyond repair and abandoned.

Both this centre and other community facilities have had a historical impact on the livelihoods of our communities. Their destruction represents a direct attack on the future of our youth.

It is unfortunate that Youth Directorates are not proactive, and do not inspire confidence that the voice of young people is at the centre of decision making.

Incompetence is a serious problem in institutions that ought to transform and develop the future. As Tata Mandela warned: "Any nation that does not take its youth seriously is a lost nation."

The SACP vows to place youth emancipation and youth development at the centre of our agenda, as the government in waiting.

We demand urgent intervention to rebuild and equip youth facilities so that young people have spaces for skills development, recreation, and leadership.

We will not be silent in the face of this neglect.

WHITE ELEPHANT SCHOOL ON MANDELA DAY

As part of our Know and Act in Your Neighbourhood Campaign on a Mandela Day, the SACP visited one of our public school that has been turned into a white elephant by the Department of Education.

This school was built a decade ago. Since then, it has been abandoned and neglected by the Free State Department of Education.

This school has been a white elephant since the era of Mr Tate Makgwe. Promises and commitments were made by both the 5th and 6th Provincial Governments, but to date there are no results.

Today the school stands vandalized and it is not yet operational.

Our children are suffering because of the incompetence of government. The community has lost hope in a government that cannot deliver basic education infrastructure.

These failures are man-made and can be resolved by a committed government.

The SACP demands:
1. Immediate intervention by the Free State Department of Education to operationalize this school
2. A full investigation into 10 years of wasted public funds
3. Accountability for officials who made promises and failed to deliver

Education is the future of our children. We will not accept another lost decade.

OUR MEETING AND BRIEFING POINT, KGOTSONG STADIUM

Today, as part of our Know and Act in Your Neighbourhood campaign on a Mandela Day , the SACP used Kgotsong Stadium as our meeting and briefing point.

This facility is also being used as a cash cow for municipal officials. It has been renovated almost every term, yet there is no plan, mechanism, or budget in place to cater for, maintain, and secure the area.

We take a dim view of what we call a crisis of accountability and management.

Revamping facilities without proper mechanisms such as security, maintenance plans, and monitoring is a waste of community resources. If such impactful facilities are treated as a low priority, then renovations become nothing but tender looting.

Earlier today we used this area for our meeting, and as a symbol of our commitment, we painted the SACP emblem in a visible area of our township. This is to declare that we are here to remain and to participate in building a Nala that transforms our communities.

The SACP demands:
1. A public maintenance and security plan for Kgotsong Stadium
2. Accountability for funds spent on repeated renovations with no results
3. Community oversight over all municipal facilities

We will not allow public assets to be looted while our people suffer.

67 Minutes for Mandela. A Lifetime Fighting Negligence. 🔴⚫️🟡

Today for Mandela Day we visited a former Municipal Park that once kept our youth out of social ills.

Our municipality neglected it. Now it’s vandalized, occupied, and destroyed. No recreation. No income. No tourism.
Our people are forced to go to Kroonstad and Leeudoringstad.

This is incompetence. This is failure of service delivery.
We demand: Revitalize this facility NOW for jobs, entertainment and tourism.

We will not be silent against weak institutions.
