The principle of making branches the school of politics has been abadoned.

Our branches have been made politically bankrupt so that they are unable to strike a line of balance between the personal interests and that of the community and therefore become susceptible to bribery from those incapable leaders who are serving their own greediness and ambitions using the resources of the state.

It is true that the primary deployment of leaders into any positions in the hierarchy of the ANC and the government, is done by the branches.

Therefore, if branches are not capacitated policaly and otherwise, to carry out their duties decisively, and without fear or favour, people who ascend positions would be as corrupt and selfish as they are now, and corruption as one of the challenging problems, would continue to escalate as it is now.

CADRES OF OUR MOVEMENT, LET US GO BACK TO BASICS TO SAVE OUR MOVEMENT.

I know this sounds like impossible and crazy to those who have tasted the power of money through corruption, but it is the undeniable truth.

It is inhuman and complacently egoistic for South African persons to selfishly inflate procuremwnt prices on invoices in order to devour all what is meant for the poorest of the poor. It makes things even worse when such practices continue even if our country is hovered over by the cloud of death, the Covid-19 pandemic, which is an add-on ON the present economic state of the country.

It is beyond my natural comprehension that how do you affix your go-ahead signature on an invoice with such escalated prices; is the authority signing the invoice not living in South Africa, does not have a clue of what is being procured, has no idea of the reasoble prices of the items being procured, etc. There are many questions triggered by the phenomenon...

THE MONEY MUST BE PAID BACK AND ALL THOSE INVOLVED BE BROUGHT TO BOOOK

One of the primary functions of the nerve structure (Branch) of the ANC is to usher in the Community Development.

True patriots and cadres of the movement would agree that in the absence of the Branch or when it is dormant, the result is chaos, corruption and looting.

As true cadres of the movement let us make sure in our respective wards we have a Branch that serves the community, a branch that holds those deployed in the Government accountable.

I stand to discourage the tendency of being the prominent activist in the upper structures of the ANC when your branch does not exist. What more can you do FOR THE ANC if you fail to set your branch functional
