The BE 1 IDEA Foundation is a private foundation incorporated and based in Midrand created to fund ideas that are from any person or organization that has a will to make a difference for communities and the world. We believe finding solutions to the world's most social problems requires engaging the people and the communities closest to them. In most cases a lot of us have ideas that can make a di
fference to our communities and we just don’t have funding or the resources to make them a reality. through its Midrand headquarters and hope to grow into 8 other provincial field offices in order to best run programs on the provincial level. Our aim is to get ambassadors for the program from all over the country to make our fund raising process successful and also spread the word about the program. The funds to be raised will be for projects that focus on strengthening democratic values, community and economic development, education, media, arts and culture, and human rights. The launch of the Idea voting web portal www.be1Idea.org is on 11 November 2011 and the first funded project will be announced December 2011 after voting is completed and will be executed in January 2012 and every month thereafter for monthly winners.
