Not long ago, we published a series of four articles exposing medical negligence in government hospitals across the Vaal Triangle and Gauteng — drawing over 100,000 views. For those without medical funds, these facilities have become death traps.
The tragedy is compounded by silence: mainstream media won’t touch the issue, and political parties refuse to confront it. We live in a society stripped of dignity, where the pain and suffering of ordinary citizens are ignored. And here, once again, is another account of a human being enduring incompetence and medical negligence.
HOSPITAL FIGHT BREAKS OUT AFTER SECURITY PUSHED HEART ATTACK PATIENT TO THE FLOOR
A man who reportedly suffered a heart attack was taken by ambulance to Far East Rand Hospital, where his family later raised serious concerns about his treatment and hospital conditions. According to report, the man’s mother arrived with a blanket, toiletries and food but was allegedly refused entry by security and prevented from giving him the items.
Report claims an argument broke out between the mother and security, after which security allegedly entered the emergency ward where the patient was lying on a wooden bench. They further allege that while the mother called out to her son, security pushed and pulled patients, causing him to fall to the floor.
Relatives also claim they were denied access to see him for three days and later received his belongings in a black rubbish bag. Concerns have since been raised about alleged conditions at the hospital, including claims that patients are denied blankets and basic necessities
