The EFF Merafong Sub Regional Command Team Meeting is currently underway. The Leadership is deliberating on recent political developments in Merafong and across the West Rand, while also finalising deployments towards upcoming Branch General Assemblies.

The EFF Merafong remains the only accountable revolutionary movement committed to the interests of the poor and marginalised. Through the implementation of the 7 Cardinal Pillars, we remain determined to build a prosperous, dignified, and transformed Merafong for all our people.

🚨 DAY 2 WITHOUT WATER IN KHUTSONG 🚨
Merafong community continues to suffer while those in power hide behind excuses: “the reservoir is empty,” “water supply remains critical,” “technical challenges”…

The COmmunity is Fed up. Enough is enough!

For two days, families have been left without water, with no proper communication and no visible water tankers in many affected areas. This crisis did not fall from the sky — it is a direct result of failed leadership and poor political choices made during the 2021 Local Government Elections.

Residents cannot continue to live in a municipality drowning in debt, collapsing infrastructure, and endless service delivery failures while politicians make promises every election season.

Water is not a privilege. Water is a basic human right!

Today on Communications, we speak about the urgent need for our people to register to vote.

Voter registration is not just about elections. It is about defending our community and building a better Merafong for all.

When our people do not register, our communities become easier to ignore. Service delivery declines, unemployment grows, drug abuse spreads, development slows down, and poor households become more vulnerable.

Registration is how we strengthen the voice of our people and force accountability. Registering to vote means fighting for:
- Jobs and local economic opportunities
- better roads, water, electricity and sanitation
- safer communities and stronger service delivery
- access to indigent support and municipal subsidies
- accountable leadership and community development

This is bigger than party politics. It is about empowering our people to demand dignity, development and delivery.
