ADVERT FOR APPLICATION TO MANAGE PORTION OF A 5HA DRIEFONTEIN FARM 113 IQ IN CARLETONVILLE, AS A FARM MANAGER OF THE SIBANYE-STILLWATER SLP PROJECT

Sibanye-Stillwater, in collaboration with Merafong City Local Municipality, invites all eligible applicants from Merafong City Local Municipality to submit their applications to manage an animal and vegetable farming enterprise as a Farm Manager of a Social and Labour Plan (SLP) project on a section of Driefontein Farm 113 IQ in Carletonville, under the mentorship of Dicla Training and Farming as the strategic partner.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Understanding of livestock and vegetable production (non-negotiable)
2. Relevant course or short training in agriculture
3. Minimum of 2 years' experience and exposure in farm production management, with deep knowledge of mixed farming
4. Excellent leadership ability to build and lead a strong team of employees
5. Excellent operational planning, decision making, and prioritization skills
6. Strong attention to detail, communication, and people management skills
7. Good understanding of labour-related legislation and maintenance of farm machinery and infrastructure
8. Computer literacy with a good understanding of data and technology-driven approaches to supporting core production practices
9. Valid driver's license
10. Own reliable transport or reliable means of transport
11. No criminal record (non-negotiable)
12. Relevant acquired or studying towards tertiary qualification in agriculture or natural sciences would be advantageous

Mandatory Documents:

1. Business proposal to farm vegetables in a 10,000m² tunnel
2. Updated curriculum vitae with references/business profile and CIPC registration certificate with a resolution appointing the representative
3. Certified qualifications/statement of results
4. Certified identity document
5. Certified SARS tax certificate
6. Valid driver's license
7. Proof of own reliable transport or reliable means of transport
8. Proof of address (Water & Electricity Statement accompanied by proof of address signed by the ward councilor of Merafong City Local Municipality)

Today is the last day to notify the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) if you plan to vote outside your voting district on 29 May 2024. The deadline is midnight tonight (17 May 2024 at 23:59).

Here's what you need to do:

🗓️ Complete the Section 24A Form:
1. Go to the online Section 24A form.
2. Enter the address where you will be on voting day.
3. Submit the form to notify the IEC of your intended voting district.

🔍 Check Your Status: Make sure your notification is successful by checking your status online.

📜 Ballots Issued:
- Inside Province: National, Regional, and Provincial ballots.
- Outside Province: National ballot only.

⏳ Don't Miss the Deadline:

If you do not submit your Section 24A notification by midnight tonight and you are outside your registered voting district on 29 May 2024, you will NOT be able to vote. You will only be able to vote at the voting district and station where you are registered.

In response to the nationwide interest generated by the announcement of the SAMRO Music Business Lab initiative for publishers and self-published SAMRO members, SAMRO will expand its acceptance of applications nationwide, provided applicants possess a stable internet connection to participate in the online classes.

SAMRO collaborated with the Music Business Lab to introduce the Music Business Lab Training Programme, tailored for music publishers and self-published Full and Associate Members of SAMRO. This program will equip participants with essential business skills for sustainable industry success.

The launch of the collaboration between SAMRO and Music Business Lab signifies SAMRO's dedication to supporting the South African music sector by investing in member development.
