The African National Congress Youth League in Nkomazi, Driekoppies (Ward-26) entered the month of July with style.

In commemoration of the struggle stalwart, the first president of the ANCYL and the democratic country; Cde Nelson Mandela , the Young Lions saw it fit to come together to institute the *67 minutes* of giving back to the community by preparing a balanced breakfast for patients who came to accces healthcare at the newly built state of the art Driekoppies Healthcare Center.

The chairperson; Cde Mthokozisi Ngwenya had an opportunity to engage with the patients who cited their jubilation_further illustrating that they are receiving proper assistance, and that they are happy with how the staff is so efficient in making sure that they are attended to in time.

The Youth League would also like to extend it's warmest hearts to the staff that includes management of the facility for the leadership has observed a whole lot of positive things and that the staff work tirelessly to make sure that the community receives the necessary support they deserve.

[JUST IN] 03/02/2025

The ANC Youth League Driekoppies-NK26 has taken upon itself to spearhead the call by the ANC to register/renew membership. This exercise is more significant to the renewal and rebuilding of the ANC and it's constitutional structures.

The Youth League would also like to urge all disgruntled members, former members and veterans to reconsider to participate fully in the organization with a sole purpose: to unite and help the marginalized.

We take this opportunity to remind all the people who love to be part of the ANC and enjoy it's activities to join us by following the process below.

The ANC in the ward is a very progressive, revolutionary and robust platform to engage in socioeconomic challenges that are faced by many of our people at Driekoppies. With me and you joining hands it would be a huge gain.

ANC Youth League (NK26)

● Driekoppies Secondary School.
The ANCYL in the branch led by the chairperson; Cde Mthokozisi 'Ndondo' Ngwenya and the entire top 5 officials, facilitated a 2 days program to oversee a process of handing over of matric statements at Driekoppies Secondary School yesterday 14/01/2025 and today 15/01/2025.

It came to the attention of the *executive* that learners who did not pay school fees/camp fees were not receiving their statements.

The delegation managed to source a meeting with the principal and the SMT, where discussions were held.

The team emphasized that not any of us, including the school, must infringe/hinder on the right of any learner to access education, that is when all parents and learners who were turned away came back to receive statements.

●Driekoppies Clinic
The ANCYL took it upon itself to do oversight visit at the newly built clinic unannounced.

It is the same delegation that after a lengthy meeting with the management of the clinic, decided to take a runaround and picked up on issues which in this instance are managed through proper channels and with the knowledge of the Department of Health in the province.

Through intensive dedication we are looking forward to assisting our poverty striken community by making sure that we touch base with them and assist where possible.

Kindly receive our revolutionary greetings from the branch leadership of the aforementioned branch of the ANCYL.

The organization (ANCYL) in the ward as led by the chairperson; _Cde Mthokozisi 'Ndondo' Ngwenya_ , today took it upon itself to bring smiling faces to disadvantaged families around Driekoppies a day before Christmas, to donate food parcels.

The leadership also managed to source a wheelchair through engagements with the ward Cllr Cde Vusi Mhlongo who supported the program by donating a wheelchair to a brother and comrade who is living with disability.

We note that this gesture may not eradicate their socio-economic status but may seek to assist our very own poverty striken community.

The ANC Youth League through it's RTT at Ehlanzeni region took an implacable decision to launch legitimate structures of the organization.

Deployees Cde. S'thembele Mdaka and Cde. Cabanga Maluleka were deployed by the Regional Task Team (RTT) to oversee processes of launching the Branch Executive Committee (BEC) of ward 26 (Driekoppies) which was successful.
