Great North Transport (GNT) will as from the 14th of September 2026 operates 100 percent of all its routes in the Sekhukhune region.

The company has revamped its old fleet in an impressive approach that saw local mechanics dirty their hands to bring the buses back onto the road.

Speaking about the good news, GNT’s Accounting Authority, Ms Lutendo Mavhusha said the company is moving towards the right direction.

She said GNT is very proud of “our mechanics” who have brought the buses back onto the road-the progress made so far, is phenomenal and this is a position of good health, says Mavhusha.

Before the end of September 2026, the company will be operating all its routes 100 percent.

The winner is GNT”s Tinyiko Mashudu. Our pride- SANAA Awards.

Tinyiko has proven beyond reasonable doubts that she is amongst the best diesel mechanic ever produced from TVET colleges.

She came first during the SANAA awards ceremony that celebrated the industry recently.

During an interview, Tinyiko said she is dedicating this award and achievement to her family who stood by her even during difficult times.

She thanked GNT for being afforded the opportunity to showcase her talent.

GNT is proud of Tinyiko’s achievement and the company will continue to give her support including some upcoming diesel mechanics within the government owned entity.

GNT”s Golden girl Tinyiko Mashudu

GNT”s golden girl Tinyiko Mashudu was awarded the best diesel mechanic during the SANAA Awards at a glittering event attended by several nominees and dignitaries from different transportation entities.

Mashudu is a TVET graduate working for GNT under a special guidance and supervision. She has proven that mechanical engineering is not only for males but ladies as well can fix a bus engine.

GNT congratulates the golden girl and wishes her many more awards in the near future. We are proud of you Tinyiko.

LEDET MEC Dr Tsh*tereke Matibe was returned as the MEC for the department following Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba”s cabinet reshuffle this afternoon.

Dr Matibe is responsible for LEDA, Gambling Board and the Limpopo Tourism Agency.

LEDA congratulates the MEC for returning as the political boss for the department. The outstanding work done by the MEC continues. # LEDET # Limpopo Premier
