ALFRED DUMA LOCAL MUNICIPALITY HOSTED IT QUARTERLY FLEA MARKET FOR LOCAL INFORMAL AND FORMAL TRADERS

Alfred Duma Local Municipality, led by His Worship the Mayor Cllr ZJ Sibisi, through the Department of Development Planning and Human Settlement - Tourism Section, led by Cllr A Warasally, today (05 June 2026), successfully hosted its quarterly Flea Market for informal and formal traders. The event took place alongside Murchison Street, in front of the Post Office.

This forms part of the municipality's strategy to promote self-help and self-reliance among local entrepreneurs. It creates a platform for vendors to link with one another, meet potential clients, and exhibit their products to the community.

Various businesses showcased their products, which included food stalls and craftwork.
