📍MAYOR CONDUCTS FOLLOW-UP VISIT TO NCHWENG

Mayor Cllr Neo Masegela today, 2 June 2026, conducted a follow-up visit to Nchweng in Ward 7 to monitor progress on the temporary bypass structure being constructed by the Ga-Segonyana Local Municipality.

The Mayor was accompanied by Ward 7 Councillor Cllr Diphatse and Roads and Storm Water officials.

The visit follows an earlier site inspection on 18 May 2026 after flooding left a section of the area inaccessible to community members.

The temporary bypass is now nearing completion and will provide much-needed relief to community members, particularly school-going children who have been unable to safely cross the affected area since the recent floods.

The project forms part of ongoing recovery efforts following the severe flooding that affected communities across the John Taolo Gaetsewe District.
