The ANCYL Ntabankulu Sub Region firmly believes that the time has arrived for young people to take their rightful place in leadership and governance.

As we approach the 2026 Local Government Elections, we call for the emergence of capable, disciplined, community-driven young leaders as Ward Councillors and PR Councillors. The voice of the people must remain central in this process, and the candidates preferred and trusted by the community must emerge.

We believe in a new generation of leadership that is accountable, energetic, progressive, and committed to service delivery and community development.

Today, the ANCYL Eastern Cape PWC Member, Cde Khalipha Motwana, led a successful school uniform handover programme at Dumsi SPS in Ward 02, Ntabankulu Subregion, under the theme: *“Restoring the Dignity of a Learner.”*

She was joined by the ANCYL Ntabankulu Subregional Deputy Chairperson, Cde Ziyanda Mapoma, the Subregional Spokesperson, Cde Kanya Ngidi, and the ANCYL Harry Gwala Branch (Ward 02) Secretary, Cde Asanda Mdukiswa.

During the programme, Cde Motwana also spoke strongly against bullying in schools, encouraging learners to protect one another, promote unity, and create safe learning environments for all.

The programme reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to supporting learners, restoring dignity, and building disciplined and caring school communities.
