A beautiful young eagle owl fell into a drum of molasses. He was not impressed with his bath but could at least fly to freedom that night when he was dry. Here are some pics

OZZY fell down the chimney in March 2020 just as the lockdown started. She was scared and hissed at me. I made her a corner of her own and kept her warm. Fed her bits of steak and chicken breast mixed with chicken feathers.
After a while the young chaps from next door started catching field mice for me.
The first mouse was very exciting and I could not believe that she could swallow it.
Her first pellet was just as exciting and then I knew that she would survive. I got most of my information on the Owl Trust foundation.
Ozzy's first flight was beautiful and she landed on one of my dogs who was not impressed at all. She teased the dogs, played with imaginary prey and was generally a wonderful experience to have in the house.
Each night I took her out on my shoulder into the dark and we just stood and watched. On a day she took off into the night and the next morning was knocking on the door to come in.
This continued for about a month until one morning she did not come back. I know that she is still around as I hear her screech and sometimes soft noises at my window where I have erected an owl box. She flew to freedom.
