Crafted from a cypress tree lost in the devastating Knysna fires, this beauty is now on its way to a very lucky home in Meyerton, Gauteng. 🙌
The arched leg design is flying out of our workshop right now and it's easy to see why. Every slab is completely unique. Every table, one of a kind.

Timber Village has been an icon of Knysna for as long as most can remember.

Just like the rest of Knysna, the 2017 fires mark a watershed for Timber Village as it was completely razed to the ground. The rebuild was promising and was just beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel when the 2020 global shutdown came along.

Come mid 2024 and …. we would like to introduce the new custodians of Timber Village who are all set and geared to take this landmark many years into the future.

Along with the team of stalwarts who have soldiered through all the upheavals, we strive to continue the tradition of providing bespoke furniture, sculptures and wooden art to discerning clients.

We believe that the beauty of custom furniture is that it only exists because you asked for it.

The twin.
The tables, in keeping with their polar opposite personalities, will live opposite ends of our country.
They will, however, be eternally joined in their mutual origin, story and stories to come.
When you live and love what you do, there's always poetry between the sweat and tears. 😉

Ironwood is probably my choice of timber. It's a shame our govt ruined yet another precious resource, but... The incompetence and readiness to grab the lower hanging fruit over the last ten odd years had created a space for the future.
It's never about the now, but rather the blossoms of next spring. 😌
