WHAT A WEEKEND! Our hearts are full. Founders Day 2026 was one for the history books, and we are still buzzing from the incredible energy on campus! An event this massive doesn't just happen—it takes an entire community coming together as one family, one school.

We want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who made this past weekend so epic:

🐆Our Incredible Staff & Parents: Thank you for your tireless support, dedication, and for cheering our teams on from the sidelines.
🐆Our Players & Learners: You played your hearts out, showed immaculate sportsmanship, and made us profoundly proud to be your school.
🐆Our Grade 8s: That war cry absolutely set the tone for the day. The passion and spirit you brought left us all with goosebumps!
🐆Howick High School: Thank you for joining us and bringing such fantastic competition and camaraderie. It is always a privilege to host you!

A bittersweet milestone for our community: this marked Mr. Holding’s final Founders Day with us. Thank you, Mr. Holding, for your years of leadership and heart—we are so glad we could make your last one so unforgettable!

A massive shoutout also goes to Mr. Thompson, our Head of Sport. You did an absolutely amazing job pulling this entire weekend together.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to our phenomenal ground staff. From early mornings to Saturdays, you worked tirelessly to ensure our campus and fields looked absolutely beautiful. You are the unsung heroes of this weekend!

Remember: An exam is just a chance to showcase your journey. It doesn’t define your worth, but it is an opportunity to do your absolute best.

Our Founders' Day assembly on Wednesday was truly one for the books! 💙 For the first time ever, we held the celebration outdoors. It was an incredibly special day, but also a bittersweet one, as it marked the final Founders' Day for our Principal, Mr. Holding.

After an incredible 39 years at Kloof High School—and 41 years in teaching overall—Mr. Holding is retiring at the end of August. To say he will be missed by us all is an understatement.

Fortunately, we don't have to say a final goodbye just yet! We are so grateful that he will continue to guide Kloof High School in a consulting role on the Governing Body. Thank you for everything, Mr. Holding!
