Out of breeding season we house different breeds of hens together, we also house younger hens with the older parent birds to acclimatize them before selection into the following breeding season, her we have a mixture of Boschvelder, Potchefstroom Koekoek. Black & White Venda & Loman Brown together.

Roscoe, one of our Boschvelder Roosters going down to one of the Lady Coop's to say good morning, out of breeding season we separate our Hens and Roosters, it helps the ladies to feather up after the breeding season. In breeding season parent birds in accordance to breed type are housed together in the breeding Coop's.
