STAY ALERT AND STAY SAFE
Following heavy storms and strong winds, danger can persist, as fallen trees, loose structures, flooded roads, damaged power lines and unstable walls may remain hazardous.
Citizens are urged to avoid flooded roads, bridges, streams and rivers and to never walk or drive through moving water, even if it appears shallow.
When travelling, be cautious and watch out for fallen trees, branches, debris, potholes, damaged traffic lights and flooded sections.
Stay clear of any fallen or damaged power lines and treat every fallen electrical cable as live, reporting it to the relevant authorities immediately.
Refrain from spreading unverified information and share only official warnings and updates from authorities and the South African Weather Service.
The storm may have passed, but the hazards may not have. Stay alert and follow more weather updates at https://www.weathersa.co.za/
