Khumbulani Health, Education and Resource Centre

Khumbulani Health, Education and Resource Centre Khumbulani is a community-based organisation operating in Khayelitsha.

Khumbulani was formally constitued in 2001, by community members (mostly women) who saw the need of addressing the scourgeof HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis affecting children. Today, Khumbulani includes a creche and a pre-school for children from HIV positive parents, an after-care facility for orphans and vulnerable children, an adult HIV support group and field workers who provide home-based care and

awareness in the community. Khumbulani collaborates with related organisations in the area, as well as with relevant governement departments to provide the best possible service to the community.
