The Seapro SA team was recently on site in Limpopo, servicing 2 ร— 600mm CLA-VAL 4100 Pressure Reducing Valves, originally installed in 1999.

These are particularly unique/uncommon installations, with only four of this type known to be installed in South Africa.

The team completed a thorough inspection and service of the main valve assemblies, control pilots, strainers, tubing and associated control systems, followed by testing and adjustment for reliable pressure-reducing operation.

Working on equipment with a long history in the field is a great reminder of the value of proven engineering, and the expertise required to keep it performing reliably.

Once in the pipeline, these valves will reduce higher upstream pressure to a controlled downstream pressure. The anti-cavitation component equips them for demanding pressure reduction while helping protect the valve from the damaging effects of cavitation.
At 400mm, theyโ€™re impressive to look at, now itโ€™s time for the CLA-VALs to get to work!
