🇿🇦 Freedom Day 2026 | Johannesburg Society for the Blind 🇿🇦

100 Years of Service.
100 Years of Empowerment.
100 Years of Continuing the Struggle.

As South Africa commemorates Freedom Day, we honor not only the journey of our nation, but also the ongoing fight for dignity, inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunity for blind and visually impaired persons.

For a century, Johannesburg Society for the Blind has stood as a beacon of hope — empowering blind individuals through education, rehabilitation, skills development, and independent living.

While we celebrate freedom, we also recognize that true freedom means:
✨ Equal access to education
✨ Economic opportunities
✨ Social inclusion
✨ Accessible communities for all

The struggle continues — and so does our commitment.

This Freedom Day, we reaffirm our mission:
To assist the blind to walk unafraid.

Together, let us build a South Africa where freedom is fully inclusive.
