GGB Administrator Briefs Staff on Diagnostic Report

The Administrator of the Gauteng Gambling Board, Dr Khathutshelo Ramakumba, has briefed staff and management on the Diagnostic Report and the strategic re-engineering process aimed at stabilising and repositioning the organisation.

The Administrator highlighted key priorities, including:

- A fit-for-purpose organisational structure and ensuring the right people are placed in the right positions.
- Organisational culture, with a focus on ethics, accountability, professionalism and performance.
- Policy reforms and strengthening regulation and enforcement.
- Financial stability and revenue enhancement.
- Digital transformation, recognising that the gambling industry is operating in the 4IR and AI era.

Dr Ramakumba emphasised the need for the GGB to build modern digital systems and capabilities that respond to the increasingly digitalised gambling industry.

The briefing marks an important step towards creating a stable, modern, financially sustainable and effective regulatory institution capable of delivering on its mandate.
