From Burundi to Kenya, the journey continued with conversations, partnerships and moments that brought the work closer to the communities we serve.

From entrepreneurs at Rhiza Semerera, to the launch of Kentap in Nairobi and the grand launch of Tembea Medical Clinic in Mombasa, every stop offered a different perspective on creating meaningful impact.

The journey also took the team to Pwani Star Academy, where they experienced the feeding programme first-hand and saw its impact on children.

Across Rwanda, Burundi and Kenya, the message was simple: impact starts with people.

From Burundi to Kenya, the journey continued across East Africa, connecting the team with entrepreneurs, partners and communities creating meaningful opportunities on the ground.

At Rhiza Semerera, the team spent time with local entrepreneurs, while Nairobi brought the launch of Kentap, partner engagements and conversations around strengthening the work.

In Mombasa, the team joined the grand launch of Tembea Medical Clinic before visiting Pwani Star Academy to see the feeding programme in action.

Across every stop, one thing remained clear: meaningful impact starts with people, partnerships and understanding what communities need.

The East Africa journey started in Kigali, Rwanda!

Yesterday, the Rhiza team joined partners and community stakeholders for the soft launch of the Bibungo Health Post, followed by conversations with ECD representatives and district stakeholders.

More than a launch, this marks a step towards bringing essential healthcare closer to communities who may face barriers to accessing quality health facilities, helping ensure that more people can access the care they need.

Bringing Healthcare that is closer to communities

Following our May updated, we are pleased to share that Rhiza's mobile clinics has now been over and will be stationed in Kouga Sub-District in partnership with the Eastern Cape Department of Health.

A dedicated team of a professional nurse, lay counsellor and driver has been appointed to support the delivery of essential healthcare services to communities across the district.

This marks an important step towards making quality healthcare more accessible and bringing services closer to the people who need them .

We are grateful to all the stakeholders who helped make this initiative possible and look forward to the impact it will have in Kouga.

A place of hope. A place of dignity. A place where your health comes first. 🩺💙

We celebrated the opening and handover of the Mpathy Clinic in KwaMhlushwa, bringing together the community, Department of Health, healthcare professionals and stakeholders who share a commitment to making quality healthcare more accessible.

For three years, this clinic has continued to serve the community, supported by the resilience of the people of KwaMhlushwa and the dedication of Professional Nurse Sifiso Mawela.

This milestone is about more than opening a clinic. It is about creating access to care where every patient is treated with respect, compassion and dignity.
