- ​Over the weekend we had the Boks game in Baltimore, and the social media reaction afterward was incredible. There was a crowd of about 68,000—mostly South Africans—saying it was one of the best moments of their lives and that it felt just like home.
- ​We have millions of South Africans living overseas who are still culturally and emotionally connected to this country, and they are looking for an excuse to come back.
- ​To give them a reason to return, we have to move this country forward. We need to get rid of BEE, make our communities safe and secure, and deliver reliable services.
- To enact the real changes we need, I’m asking you to pledge your support for the DA on the 4th of November. Let's bring our people home.

*​🏘️ Problem Property Update: Sydenham*
- ​Yesterday, I went on an inspection of a problem property in Raglan Street, Sydenham.
- ​We have laid several official notices and are now in direct communication with the property owner and executor.
- ​Resolving these problem properties is a long process, but we are actively pushing this forward.

It's another internal competition for the DA, and you know me. So this week we're going to get everyone in our households (who lives in ward 72) to fill in this https://pledge.da.org.za/

This is particularly important for people who haven't been contacted or filled in a DA form in the last 2 years.

In order to get Helen Zille elected as mayor we need 490,000 voters to vote DA on both ballots on 4 November. Will you commit to being one of them?

Good morning fellow residents

*Power Outages*
I'm currently still chasing 35 individual power outages. And the average resolution time for issues resolved over the last month is over 10 days.
This is the state of city power in Johannesburg.

I phoned city power yesterday regarding a number of issues and the manager I spoke to has said they're struggling and then went on a tirade of "you councillors..."
I responded that I just want truthful communication on issues, not silence or lies.

My commitment to you has always been transparent and clear communication and that is what I'll keep doing.
