🚨 JMPD HIGH-IMPACT OPERATION SUCCESS 🚨

JMPD officers have uncovered an illicit operation at a building on Edith Cavell & Plein Streets in the CBD.

During an inner-city operation, vendors fled from officers, leading police to a building that served as a hub for counterfeit food packaging and infrastructure theft.

🔍 What was found:

* Counterfeit Food Lab: Expired juices & yoghurts being treated with chemical thinners to erase original expiry dates and replace them with fraudulent, extended stickers.

* Stolen Infrastructure: Cut electrical cables, highly suspected to be stolen municipal infrastructure contributing to power disruptions.

"What we uncovered today is not just a violation of municipal bylaws, but a direct and dangerous assault on the health and safety of our residents."

JMPD Chief of Police, Commissioner Patrick Jaca

All goods and cables have been confiscated.

Please remain vigilant when purchasing goods from unregulated vendors.

DO NOT WASH YOUR VEHICLE ON A PUBLIC ROAD!!!! IT IS A BYLAW VIOLATION!!!

officers enforced municipal bylaws by stopping taxi drivers from washing vehicles on a public road. Washing vehicles on public roads is prohibited under the Public Roads and Miscellaneous By-Laws as it damages infrastructure, obstructs traffic, pollutes stormwater systems & creates safety hazards for road users.

Compliance is mandatory & vehicle washing must be done at designated facilities only.
