This haven of tranquility nestles on the banks of the Nkonkwane Stream beneath the indigenous forest of the Karkloof with wonderful views of the Karkloof Valley. Comfortable en-suite accommodation and fine cuisine is provided in an old restored farmhouse. The dining room serves a set 3 course meal. Reservations for lunch or dinner are essential, preferably 24 hours in advance. We regret that we do not offer self-catering facilities or TV.

South Africa’s famous Otter Trail: The Otter trail is officially the oldest and undoubtedly the most iconic hiking trail in South Africa. The trail was opened in 1968 and is considered one of the finest multi-day trails in the world. It is named after the shy, mostly nocturnal, Cape Clawless Otter which inhabits the estuaries and streams of the South African coast.
