It was a a glorious day today when His Worship the uMngeni Mayor, Chris Pappas, visited six centenarians across uMngeni.
These special people who are 100 years old and above were given special gifts embroided with a municipal brand and ofcourse a cake. A caring municipality always looks after and celebrate its elders.
Amongst those who were visited by the Honourable Mayor include Bizani Ximba, 106 years old, Alfred Cele, 102 years old, Mulina Sokhela, 102 years old, Florence Zondi, 102 years old, Babekile Zondi, 100 years old and Thembisile Thabede, 100 years old. We would like to extend our appreciation to the Shincheonji volunteers for their kind donation to support this programme.
