All of our accommodation and camping options are pet-friendly, because we believe nature is best enjoyed with all our companions. My cozy yet spacious eco-cabin is nestled in the Hogsback Mountains with a spectacular view of the three Hogs as well as Toor Doone. Affectionately named the Fox Den, the cabin is located on my small holding, Wild Fox Hill, a self-sustainable living project. The cabin i

s completely off the grid, running off solar electricity and water from rain tanks and a stream/ river below and is well positioned to enjoy beautiful morning and afternoon light. In the summer laze in hammocks and enjoy bonfires and outside baths under starry skies. Winters have frosty mornings, falling snow and roaring fires. The cabin offers the following:
• 3 Bedrooms — sleeps 6 adults and 2 children. Main bedroom with queen-size bed, second room double bed, third room 2 toddler beds and lounge with double sized sleeper couch
• Lounge/kitchen with log fire-place
• Two bathrooms, one with bath and one with shower
• Kitchen equipped with cutlery, gas stove and camping fridge
• Deck in front and back of cabin
• Fire pit and open braai. The following items are provided:
• All cutlery and crockery.
• All linen and towels.
• Tea and sugar as a welcoming gesture.
• Firewood is complimentary.
• Pets are welcome. Farm produce is available for purchase including free range eggs, kale, fresh milk, a variety of herbs, kale, kombucha and blueberries in season. Rates:

1st two guests (R750 per night sharing); Additional 2 guests: (R225 per night sharing); Children and additional guests (R100 per person)

Things to do:
Hogsback is the perfect weekend getaway with walks to the Madonna and Child, Swallow Tail, Kettle Spout Falls and the 800 year old Big Tree. Starways Pottery and the open-air Rose Theatre is where local artists perform in an intimate setting is just up the road and we’re well positioned to enjoy the moonlit horse riding offered by Terra Khaya backpackers. Hearty pub food can be found in Hogsback Village at a number of local pubs as well as the local favourite Away With The Fairies. The Edge is not to missed with its epic view of the valley below Hogsback as well as their labyrinth for those looking for a meditative experience.

Our animal clan is growing. Meet little Frodo, our 5 day old goat who will grow to become the dad of many kids on the farm.

He keeps us up at night but what a delight to have around! My children are in love too!

Ziggy and Yin are going to play an integral role in helping to realise the vision at Wild Fox Hill.

They will provide us with delicious, wholesome, ethically produced goats milk to help us in our move to full self-sufficiency. We look forward to offering guests locally produced goats milk cheese.

They will assist us in continuing to improve the land's ecological health as we practice holistic management.

And most importantly they will be ambassadors for the animal kingdom as they express their humor, adventerous spirit, intelligence and relational capacity to visitors at Wild Fox Hill. We particularly look forward to children having memorable encounters with when.
