Aluchia offers three years of hands-on local government experience as Chief Clerk in the Speaker’s Office, giving her intimate knowledge of municipal processes, governance, legislation and the responsibilities that come with public office.

With an LLB degree, along with various diplomas in local government, she brings both legal knowledge and practical experience to the table. Through her work, she has also built a close working relationship with the Ratepayers Association and strive to be a strong voice for their concerns and the interests of our residents.

Aluchia is passionate about healthcare, combating substance abuse, animal welfare, youth development and socio-economic development. She strongly believes in creating opportunities, protecting vulnerable communities and building a municipality that works for everyone, not a selected few.

She has a strong sense of justice, equality and accountability, and considers herself a legal watchdog—someone who will ask the difficult questions and ensure that decisions are guided by the law, sound governance and strong Christian morals and values.

Aluchia is committed to serve with integrity, to uphold the law, and to put what is right ahead of what is convenient.

She believes local government needs people with experience, knowledge, education, courage and conviction and she is ready to serve.

I’m honoured to share that I have been selected as the VF Plus candidate for Ward 9 in Kleinmond.

This is a new chapter for me, and one I approach with humility and a genuine desire to serve our community. I look forward to listening, learning and working hard for the people of Ward 9.

It is time for a better Overstrand.
