ANCYL IN LESEDI WISHES 2023 MATRICULANTS BEST OF LUCK IN THEIR FINAL EXAMS
29 October 2023
Today marks a day before the final Grade 12 Examinations. The most anticipated day by many young matriculants across the country and those of our subregion. Former ANCYL President and that of the country, Dr. Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela once said "Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world". Change will eventually happen but in order to have a change that will favor majority of young South Africans who come from a disadvantage background, we need to be in control of that change. And that starts by empowering young people with enough knowledge and skills necessary to cause a positive changed.
Change is that of "Economic Freedom" in our lifetime. Our enemy is high inequalities that causes in balances in economic benefit that cause a huge gap between the working and the poor. Inequalities that cause many young people not be employable, not able to access a good higher education or fund to further their knowledge and skills based on their economic status.
There are many challenges that most of Grade 12 students are faced with, challenges that includes but not limited to a decaying of school infrastructure, overcrowded classes, lack of teachers, safety in schools etc. These are some of many challenges ANCYL in Lesedi has brought into a relevant government department to address in order to ensure that every child in school get to have the best education in an environment that is conducive for learning.
Once again, ANCYL in Lesedi wishes all young people who will be writing their final Grade 12 exams the best of luck.
