Realistic

Realistic REALISTIC is a community based organisation that runs three projects

1. Realistic rebuilding and li 1.

Realistic rebuilding life skills centre was established by a former employee of the South African Department of Correctional Services. with a purpose to minimize the incidence of crime by preventing the dynamic of repeat offending which contributes substantially to the High Crime rate in South Africa. Basically we change their mindset into living a positive and productive life away from crime. Th

en we also fight hard by rehabilitating the youth at risk of sustance abuse. We recruit these addicts and potential addicts, put them into our programmes and some go back to school, others study further and some are fulltime employed in good companies. At REALISTIC we believe that : No one is perfect...AKUKHO NZWANA INGENASIPHAKO!

2. Realistic child and youth care centre is a non-profit organisation that operates as a residential placement facility for vulnerable male children who have suffered in forms of violent abuse and neglect, who are in need of care and protection. The scope of our offered services covers the Western Cape metropolitan area and the Winelands community. The centre has capacity to accommodate 45 young men, ranging from 3 to 17 years of age. In 2018 Realistic in partnership with the department of social development tookover the St Francis children’s home and renamed it to Realistic child and youth care centre

3.Realistic half way house
The programme was established in 2016 in partnership with South African Department of Correctional Services (DSC). Solomon Madikane, realised that many ex-inmates re-offended after their release from prison because they are unable to reintegrate into their families and/or communities. The Halfway House for parolees has been successfully implemented to enable parolees reconcile with their families and re-integrated into the communities through various programmes and to provide eex-inmates with opportunities to not recidivism again.

Our boys recently had the opportunity to participate in an exciting EAFC Tournament hosted in partnership with Gaiety Games. 🎮⚽

The event created a space for teamwork, sportsmanship, healthy competition, and fun while allowing our youth to engage, connect, and showcase their skills in a positive environment.

We extend our appreciation to Gaiety Games for the opportunity and for creating such an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

On Saturday we celebrated a truly special initiative by Mziyabo, who chose to spend his birthday giving back to children in the community ❤️♟️

He visited our home to teach the children the fundamentals of chess, creating a fun and engaging learning experience filled with encouragement, patience, and meaningful interaction. To make the day even more special, he generously gifted the chess boards to the children afterwards.

We are truly grateful for individuals who choose to celebrate their special moments by making a positive impact in the lives of others.

From all of us at Realistic CYCC, thank you for your kindness and generosity and happy belated birthday once again 🎉🙏

Today we honour Mdrayi as he reaches the end of his journey with us and begins a well-deserved retirement.

As a driver, you carried more than just passengers… you carried responsibility, trust, and the safety of everyone in your care. Through early mornings, long routes, and every mile in between, you showed dedication, patience, and pride in what you do.

Your steady presence and commitment never went unnoticed. You’ve been a reliable force behind the scenes, helping keep everything moving forward.

As you park for the last time and step into this new chapter, may the road ahead be filled with rest, happiness, and time to enjoy life at your own pace.

Thank you for every mile, Mdrayi! you’ve truly made a difference. 🚐💙

JOIN IN ON OUR JUNE 16th ACTIVITIES!

There is an upcoming 5Aside June16th Annual Street Soccer Tournament, hosted by Realistic Rebuilding Life Skills Training Center. As a reputable and community-driven organization, we have been successfully hosting this event for the past 17 years, promoting social cohesion, youth development, and healthy lifestyles. This year, we aim to take the event to new heights, and we believe that a partnership with Illovo would be instrumental in achieving this goal.

On Freedom Day, we reflect on our nation’s journey toward equality, dignity, and human rights for all. This day serves as a reminder of the progress made, while also calling on each of us to continue building a society rooted in respect, opportunity, and unity for every individual. 🇿🇦 HAPPY FREEDOM DAY!

Thank you for the opportunity to share our story. As Realistic Founder, Mr. Solomon Madikane, I'm pleased to report that our organisation's impact extends far beyond those struggling with addiction, touching the lives of individuals and communities worldwide. Our mission is to inspire hope, foster resilience, and drive positive change. I'm humbled by the progress we've made and excited to explore future collaborations.
