❤️ We are incredibly grateful to St Andrew's CollegeCommunity Engagement for partnering with us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Through their generous donation of food parcels, 9 families have received much-needed support. What makes this contribution even more special is that members of their team accompanied our social workers to personally deliver the parcels to clients facing difficult circumstances. Thank you for your compassion, generosity and commitment to uplifting our community. Your support is truly appreciated!

A while ago, we were approached by a wonderful group of passionate people from RUN GHT Running Club, who hosted a charity run over Easter in support of our children and families.

As part of their event, they collected food, toiletries and clothing donations for us. Last week, they came to meet us in person and delivered all the amazing goodies.

We are incredibly grateful for their kindness, generosity and support. Thank you to everyone involved in making a difference in our community! 💛

A huge thank you to Betty and Meg Hartzenberg today! Betty lovingly sewed two amazing dinosaur duvets for our children. Of course, none of this would have happened without Meg, who organised everything. We are so grateful for your time, talent, and thoughtfulness, it truly means the world to us!

During Child Protection Month, we are reminded that every child deserves to feel safe, protected, heard, and loved. This is an especially important time for Child Welfare Grahamstown to continue raising awareness about the rights and protection of children in our communities.

Children must know that abuse, neglect, bullying, exploitation, and any form of violence against them should never be kept a secret. We encourage parents, teachers, community members, and young people to share information widely so that children know who they can report to when they are unsafe or afraid.

If a child is experiencing abuse or knows someone who is, they can speak to a trusted adult, teacher, social worker, police officer, or contact Child Welfare Grahamstown for assistance and support. Protecting children is everyone’s responsibility, and together we can create safer communities where every child is valued and protected.

Let us stand together this Child Protection Month and be the voice for those who may be too afraid to speak. Every child matters. Every child deserves protection.

Our Bowls Day this year was nothing short of incredible, and we are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support from the Grahamstown community and surrounding areas. It was a truly memorable family day out, filled with laughter, sunshine and some exceptional bowls played with great spirit and friendly competition.

We are especially thankful to everyone who contributed prizes, helping us ensure that our players were rewarded with wonderful gifts that matched the excitement of the day. Your generosity made a real difference and added so much joy to the event.

With perfect sunny weather setting the scene, the atmosphere was warm, vibrant, and full of community spirit. We are so proud of everyone who took part, supported, and helped make the day such a success. Year after year, our Bowls Day continues to grow in strength and this year has certainly been one to remember.

Thank you to the Albany Bowling Club for allowing us to use the stunning venue!
