Every October, Potchefstroom hosts the annual Clover Aardklop National Arts Festival. This festival is especially known for putting on all forms of theater. However, theater isn't all that festival goers can expect, since the festival has a well-rounded line-up which also includes music (both classic and contemporary), kids theater, discussions and debates, visual art, as well as a series of free performances which includes all of the above. Potchefstroom provides a wide variety of accommodation options during the festival, but be sure to reserve your stay well in advance, since the festival is very popular. The festival is five days long, so be ready for five fun-filled days for the whole family!
