The SASCO George Branch, joined by PEC Member Comrade Mbombo, successfully hosted a Progressive Programme Membership

The purpose of this programme was to introduce new students specially first years who had little or no knowledge about SASCO to the movement and its historic role in higher education. During the induction, students were educated about the values, principles, and mission of SASCO as a progressive student organisation that advocates for the rights and transformation of students in institutions of higher learning

The session also highlighted the importance of student activism, collective leadership, and participation in building a strong, united student movement. First-year students were encouraged to understand the legacy of SASCO and to take an active role in defending and advancing the interests of students on campus.

This membership induction served as a platform to politically educate and empower new members, ensuring that they understand the responsibility of being part of such a gigantic and historic student movement.

Dear Students

We believe that no student should have to choose between their studies and their basic needs. We know that many of our peers are currently facing challenges in accessing everyday essentials, and as the SASCO Led SRC, we are stepping up but we need your help.

We are launching a Donation Drive to collect hygiene products and food items to support those in our student community who need it most.

How You Can Help
If you are in a position to give, please consider donating any of the following items:

-Hygiene Essentials: Toothpaste, roll-on/deodorant, bath soap, and sanitary towels.
-Food Items: Both perishable (fresh fruit/veg) and non-perishable food items.

Drop-Off Points
You can drop your donations at the following convenient locations:
-The Laundry
-The Donation Box at the Dining Hall (DH)
