Youth Centre for Basic Information is a Non-Profit Organization providing information basically for the Youth of the country nationwide, this program is designed for the youth as a whole from middle, high school, graduates and those still in higher education at tertiary levels. This is providing them with access to necessary information on career selection, available bursaries and student funds in
various fields of study and different institutions globally. We also have mentorship programs where we give answers to those who might have questions regarding their desired career paths. This programme saves the time and money spent on travelling to different institutions doing research and still go back home with none. This is a platform for those who’ll like to shape their lives for the coming future through education, Job seekers, the unemployed and also those who would like to create and grow their own businesses. We collect information and bring it to their fingertips, to put everything on the table so that they’ll know they have options and all they have to do is choose. This inspires, encourage and motivate young people to stand up and do it for themselves and the coming generation. In a way, we are fighting the high rate of unemployment and all crisis that our country is facing today. We want our youth off the streets and back to life, we want them to know that if they don’t do it for themselves, nobody will. They must create a future for themselves in order to prevent spending more time doing nothing and even to sitting at the corners with “Gangs”. We are hoping to cater information for all young people and the older youth especially those who have lost hopes, we want to let them know that there is still a chance to do something productive. The reason why they lost hope it’s only because they are not aware that there is hope for success and that’s the reason why we have managed to implement this centre. Our focus is to help those still in high school to shape their grades in order to qualify and meet requirements for available bursaries for their desired career paths, inform job seekers and graduates on Internships, learner-ship programmes, youth funds, Jobs and together with motivational talks. Our centre is up and running full-time at our region, on the internet and not to be a once off thing, to keep in touch with those who are still going to school and do follow ups on their studies so that they don’t lose focus and also know that throughout the year we are pushing towards a certain target, doing so we are offering a helping hand where is needed. This is a way of not waiting the whole year for disappointment but to prepare for success and achievement at the end of the year and start a year with new hopes and higher challenges in our terrific Centre
The programme is forming partnerships with private, public companies, government departments, local municipals, local schools and other organizations in terms of opportunities available for the youth in different fields. We are hoping for a good business relationship and cooperation with the very same spirit of Ubuntu (humanity to other others), you are what you are because of other people. This is the kind of mindset and the spirit we would like to instill in the lives of our youth today. Any form of contribution from other organizations will be highly appreciated and all we need is information and transformation for our youth.
