中華代表隊已抵達開普敦，準備參加 2026 TWIF World Outdoor Championships 世界室外拔河錦標賽！🏆

本屆賽事將於 9月16日至19日 在西開普省 Mossel Bay 舉行，中華代表團共84人，其中 79名選手將參加11個組別，與世界各國頂尖隊伍一較高下。

南非對中華隊更有特別意義：2010年女子隊正是在南非拿下500公斤級首座室外世界冠軍。上一屆世錦賽，中華隊更勇奪 5金2銀，女子500公斤級及540公斤級皆完成4連霸，今年540公斤級將挑戰歷史性的 5連霸！💪🔥

一條繩、一條心，期待台灣健兒在南非再創佳績！

The Taiwan’s Tug-of-War Team has arrived in Cape Town for the 2026 TWIF World Outdoor Championships, taking place from 16–19 September in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. 🏆

The delegation has around 84 members, including 79 athletes competing in 11 categories.

South Africa also holds a special place in the team’s history — in 2010, the women’s team won its first outdoor world title here in the 500 kg category. At the previous championships, the team claimed 5 gold and 2 silver medals, while the women’s 540 kg team will now aim for a historic fifth consecutive world title. 🔥

台灣男籃亞運開門紅　83比80力退約旦 🏀Taiwan Opens Asian Games Basketball Campaign with 83–80 Win over Jordan 🏀

台灣男籃9月10日在2026名古屋亞運預賽首戰，以83比80擊敗約旦，搶下關鍵勝利。

隊長陳盈駿攻下全隊最高16分並送出5次助攻，林庭謙貢獻15分。約旦在第四節步步追近時，盧峻翔連續投進兩記重要三分球穩住戰局，全場三分球7投4中、拿下14分。

在與約旦、卡達及伊朗同組的高強度賽程中，台灣隊以團隊合作守住勝果，為亞運征程取得振奮人心的開始。

Taiwan began its men’s basketball campaign at the 2026 Asian Games with an 83–80 victory over Jordan on 10 September.

Captain Chen Ying-chun led Taiwan with 16 points and five assists, while Lin Ting-chien added 15 points. With Jordan closing the gap late in the fourth quarter, Lu Chun-hsiang struck two crucial three-pointers; he finished with 14 points and made four of his seven attempts from beyond the arc.

The hard-earned opening win gives Taiwan valuable momentum in a challenging group that also includes Qatar and Iran.

台灣U18青棒16比1擊敗新加坡　晉級亞洲盃超級循環賽 ⚾Taiwan Advances to U-18 Asian Baseball Super Round with 16–1 Victory over Singapore

台灣U18青棒代表隊9月9日在台北以16比1擊敗新加坡，確定以分組第二晉級亞洲青棒錦標賽超級循環賽。

先發9人全數敲出安打，全隊共擊出14支安打且守備零失誤。胡辰睿演出場內全壘打，單場跑回3分並貢獻4分打點；後援投手群最後3局未讓對手擊出任何安打。

尋求衛冕的台灣隊接下來將迎戰菲律賓與日本，朝隊史第4冠繼續前進。

Taiwan secured its place in the U-18 Asian Baseball Championship super round after defeating Singapore 16–1 in Taipei on 9 September.

Every player in Taiwan’s starting line-up recorded a hit as the team collected 14 hits without an error. Hu Chen-jui led the offence with an inside-the-park home run, three runs and four RBIs, while Taiwan’s relievers allowed no hits over the final three innings.

The defending champions will face the Philippines and Japan next as they pursue a second consecutive title and their fourth championship overall.

台灣學生閱讀素養全球第3　科學、數學雙雙第4 📚🔬Taiwan Ranks 3rd in Reading and 4th in Science and Mathematics in PISA 2025 📚🔬

經濟合作暨發展組織（OECD）9月8日公布PISA 2025結果，台灣15歲學生在閱讀素養排名第3，創歷年最佳名次；科學與數學素養則雙雙排名第4。

本屆共有91個國家及經濟體、超過76萬名學生參與。台灣學生科學獲540分，追平歷屆最佳成績；閱讀508分、數學546分，另在首次納入的運算思維解題評量取得第5名。

面對全球閱讀與數學表現普遍下滑，台灣仍在三大核心領域穩居國際前段，呈現學生扎實的知識應用與解題能力。

Taiwan’s 15-year-old students placed third in reading and fourth in both science and mathematics in PISA 2025, released by the OECD on 8 September.

More than 760,000 students from 91 countries and economies participated. Taiwan scored 540 in science, matching its best result, 508 in reading—a record-high ranking—and 546 in mathematics. Taiwanese students also placed fifth in the new computational problem-solving assessment.

As reading and mathematics performance declined across many education systems, Taiwan remained among the world’s leading performers in all three core subjects.

首面獎牌~ 15歲蘇柏陵越級挑戰7.5公里奪銅 為台灣摘下世青公開水域首面獎牌 🥉🌊15-Year-Old Su Bo-ling Wins Taiwan’s First World Junior Open-Water Medal in the 7.5km Race 🥉🌊

台灣泳將蘇柏陵在阿根廷舉行的世界青少年公開水域游泳錦標賽，以1小時23分27秒60取得男子16至17歲組7.5公里銅牌，寫下台灣在這項賽事的首面獎牌紀錄。

年僅15歲的蘇柏陵越級挑戰年長選手，經過超過80分鐘的水中競逐，最終距離銀牌只有0.2秒、距金牌也僅1.6秒。

這不只是蘇柏陵個人的首面國際公開水域獎牌，也讓世界看見台灣青年選手在長距離耐力、臨場判斷及終點衝刺上的競爭力。

Taiwanese swimmer Su Bo-ling won bronze in the men’s 16–17 age-group 7.5km race at the World Aquatics Junior Open Water Swimming Championships in Santa Fe, Argentina.

Although only 15, Su completed the course in 1:23:27.60 while competing against older swimmers. He finished just 0.2 seconds behind the silver medallist and 1.6 seconds behind the winner.

The result is Taiwan’s first medal at the World Junior Open Water Swimming Championships and Su’s first international medal in the discipline. It marks an important breakthrough for a young athlete competing in one of swimming’s most demanding endurance events.

台灣化學家翁啟惠獲選2027年美國化學學會Alfred Bader Award 🧬Taiwanese Chemist Chi-Huey Wong Selected for the American Chemical Society’s 2027 Alfred Bader Award 🧬

Taiwanese chemist Chi-Huey Wong has been selected to receive the 2027 Alfred Bader Award in Bioinorganic or Bioorganic Chemistry, a national award presented by the American Chemical Society.

Wong’s research investigates carbohydrates and glycosylation—the process through which sugar molecules attach to proteins and influence their structure and function. His work has advanced understanding of these mechanisms in cancer, infectious diseases and immune responses.

By developing methods to construct complex carbohydrate-containing molecules, Wong’s laboratory has also provided foundational knowledge for medicine and vaccine research. He is scheduled to be honoured at the ACS Spring meeting in New Orleans in March 2027.

台灣化學家翁啟惠獲選2027年美國化學學會生物無機或生物有機化學Alfred Bader Award，研究成果再次獲得國際重要化學獎項肯定。

翁啟惠長期研究醣類及「醣基化」如何改變蛋白質的結構與功能，並進一步理解這些作用與癌症、細菌及病毒感染、免疫反應等健康議題的關係。

他的團隊也持續開發合成複雜含醣分子的新方法，為藥物與疫苗研究建立重要基礎。頒獎典禮預定於2027年3月在美國紐奧良舉行，讓世界再次看見台灣科學家在醣化學與生醫研究上的長期影響力。

法國奧波西托劇團三頭巨型機械象　9月5、6日走上臺北士林街頭 🐘🎭Three Giant Mechanical Elephants to Lead a French Street-Theatre Parade Through Taipei 🐘🎭

三頭巨型機械鐵象將於9月5、6日晚間現身士林，為2026臺北藝術節揭開序幕。遊行每晚19時14分從基河路出發，一路前往臺北表演藝術中心廣場。

法國奧波西托劇團的《大象來了……》結合機械象、鳳凰隊列、錫兵樂隊、燈光及聲音，並邀請在地表演者加入，讓國際街頭藝術與臺北的城市空間共同完成演出。

整場遊行與舞臺演出約90分鐘。當大型機械裝置從夜市周邊穿越街道，劇場不再只有一座建築，而能成為市民及旅客共享的公共文化體驗。

Three giant mechanical elephants will travel through Taipei’s Shilin District on the evenings of 5 and 6 September as part of the opening programme of the 2026 Taipei Arts Festival.

Created by France’s Compagnie Oposito, “Trois éléphants passent…” combines the moving iron elephants with mechanical phoenixes, musicians dressed as tin soldiers, light, sound and local performers. The parade begins on Jihe Road at 7:14 p.m. and continues to Taipei Performing Arts Center Plaza.

The approximately 90-minute outdoor production brings international street theatre directly into a night-market neighbourhood, allowing residents and visitors to encounter large-scale performing art outside a conventional theatre.
