Nyandeni Local Municipality is calling all aspiring writers to submit their work, as the municipality’s library section will be hosting an “Aspiring Writers and Illustrators Workshop” for local writers. The aim of the workshop is to harness and develop creativity whilst sharpening writing skills and presentation of written work.
The space is for 20 writers and the following criteria will be used to select participants:
1. Permanent residence of Nyandeni Local Municipality (letter written by ward councillor, acknowledging that the person resides in that ward).
2. Must have a smartphone and phone.
3. One paragraph, motivating why a writer should be selected.
4.Short story or poem suitable for Foundation Phase.
5. Narrative illustration not bigger than A4 page
Closing date for submission is 25 May 2023 and can be emailed to [email protected] or hand delivered at office 69, Libode Municipal Main Building, Nqeketo Public Library or Linda Dweba Library.
