One of REHAB’s community developers Nontando Magwentshu-Adjinu started training Health care workers from Ncerha Clinic and Community workers (Isibindi Project). The aim of this training is to provide Volunteer Community Workers with information and skills on disability issues so that they can be an effective resource in their communities. This was a first session of the training and it was a success, they were very excited for this training as they provide community services to their community.

REHAB is deeply saddened by the sadden loss of former employee MCDONALD NKOSIYANE. REHAB mourns for his passing and sends warm condolences to his family. He will be laid to rest on the 25th of Novermber 2017 at Umthatha.

Congratulations to one of REHAB's client for getting a permanent job at Cecilia Makhiwane Hospital. It would not be possible if it was not for his dedication and hard work. He is truly grateful to REHAB staff for assisting him through his employment journey. REHAB's family wishes him all the best with his future endeavors.

To all the people living with disabilities, they must not let their disabilities be a barrier in achieving what they want in their lives.

Mdantsane Sports Club for the Visually Impaired women’s goal ball team has produced excellent results over the last couple of months. This includes a silver medal from a tournament in Peddie, a bronze medal in Port Elizabeth and more recently a gold medal in Dimbaza. Special mention should go to Siphokazi Maciki who won woman player of the tournament and woman of the match.

This performance is despite not having adequate training equipment. Can you imagine what this team could accomplish with sponsorship?

Tryouts towards the provincial goal ball team were held last weekend in Mdantsane with 4 players and 2 officials from Mdantsane Sports Club for the Visually Impaired being selected to be part of the Buffalo City Metropolitan team.
