UPDATE: ESKOM OUTAGE IMPACTING NAHOON WTW
13 June 2026 @ 20H15

Dear Stakeholders,

Further to our notice issued yesterday, 12 June 2026, regarding the Eskom power outage affecting the Nahoon Water Treatment Works:

1.Eskom Power: Restoration expected for today did not materialise. Due to weather delays, Eskom is still attending to the fault and a revised restoration time has not been provided.

2.Site Access: Bush clearing at Nahoon Dam was completed today, 13 June 2026. However, rain continues to impact progress due to wet and slippery terrain. Teams will return to site tomorrow, 14 June 2026, weather permitting.

Amatola Water is monitoring the situation closely and will provide updates as new information is received from Eskom. We apologise for the prolonged inconvenience.
