Ward 7 SMMEs recently received a visit from representatives of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature (ECPL) and TREDA to monitor their progress after being assisted with equipment to support and grow their businesses.
In addition, during this month, we assisted 15 SMMEs to register their businesses through the SEDA programme. These entrepreneurs are currently on Stage 2 of their training and development process before receiving business equipment and support.
As Ward 7, we continue to promote a culture of creating opportunities and encouraging entrepreneurship rather than waiting for opportunities to come. Through these initiatives, we aim to empower local businesses, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth within our community.
Some of the SMMEs that have benefited from the programme include:
Wongamele Wagga Ntoyakhe agga's Hair Salon
Amanda Mnyaka Catering
Wanda Wayde Lwani Imonti Skills
Mfundo Velapi Trading
Sivuyile Sopotela Trading etc
We remain committed to supporting local entrepreneurs and ensuring that small businesses become sustainable contributors to the development of our community.
