The trails are stunning at the moment. We did Fair Cape and Klipheuwel yesterday and it was so beautiful to be out there with the abundance of wildlife and the wheat and canola fields. We were lucky to see bushbuck, as well as too many birds to mention including a majestic pair of Blue cranes.

I usually reserve a long ride like Klipheuwel for weekends, when I have more time, but having an e-bike allows me to go further in less time, so now I can enjoy more of the trails. Its such a valuable training tool. Thanks to Darrvin e-bikes I can train in a specific heart rate zone regardless of the terrain. I get all of the training and all of the fun!

Any day on the trails is better than a day in the office....yip, agreed. BUT, not at the risk of damaging them. As it stands, the trails at Hoogekraal Farm & Welvergenoed are closed, after some proper rainfall this week. With more rain predicted the weekend, please consider the indoor trainer, spinning class, or a nice meander on tar or district roads this weekend.

What a privilege it is to witness this little Nipper grow as a rider in the past 6 months. Tiehann is 9 years old and riding like a champ! We have been laying foundation skills for a while and now he has the confidence in himself to hit the bigger jumps that scared him just a few weeks ago.

XCO A-Line at Bloemendal. The jump from Nippers to Sprogs category is quite a big one, so working on skills is just as important as strength and fitness.

Learning to jump in a safe environment inspires confidence to hit them on the trails. Gap jumps can be especially intimidating, as they pose a greater risk. Being confident in your jumping skills and knowing what distance you can clear is important before you attempt your first gap jump.
