~ HAPPY WORLD SANDWICH DAY ~

In celebration of the day that British nobleman John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich, popularized the delicacy during the Revolutionary War.

As the story goes, he was playing cards and did not want to leave the gaming table to eat. He asked for a serving of roast beef to be placed between two slices of bread so he could eat with his hands. And so the sandwich was born!

Sandwiches are loved by people all over the world, and there is a sandwich to suit every taste. From the popular BLT to Peanut butter and Jam. From chicken mayo to a plain cheese. There is one for everyone!

To celebrate this day, let's help the SPREAD the love by making sandwiches for the less fortunate, either on or around 3 November. As a Unit, District or even in your personal capacity!

As the chosen charity partner of International Women’s Day, we are excited to come together as a Movement to accelerate progress on gender equity. With your support, we can tackle , call out bias and stereotyping, seek inclusion and continue to challenge the structures and attitudes that prevent girls and women from fulfilling their potential as equal citizens of the world.

We see today is a time for celebration as well as reflection!
