Immigration, Trade Relations, and Youth Participation in Advancing SADC Goals
The uMzinyathi District Development Agency (UDDA), in collaboration with GCIS, successfully hosted an insightful SADC Tourism Dialogue at Majuba TVET College.
The engagement featured informative presentations by the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA) and the uMzinyathi District Municipality's Local Economic Development (LED) and Tourism Unit, highlighting the importance of regional integration, bilateral trade, entrepreneurship, and the vital role young people play in advancing the goals of SADC.
The uMzinyathi District Municipality LED and Tourism Unit emphasized how regional trade contributes to economic growth, while EDTEA showcased the wide range of support available to SMMEs and cooperatives, including business registration, funding opportunities, advisory services, and entrepreneurship development programmes.
A key not adress from the uMzinyathi District Development Agency encouraged students to become job creators rather than job seekers, highlighting the services offered through the One Stop Shop (OSS), which include company registration, business support, and access to funding opportunities.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Majuba TVET College for hosting this impactful engagement and providing students with practical knowledge, valuable insights, and the inspiration to pursue entrepreneurship.

DUNDEE JULY CAREER EXPO SETS THE STAGE FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE DUNDEE JULY! 🐎🎉

Moth Hall was filled with excitement and inspiration community members and stakeholders gathered for the Dundee July Career Expo, an event aimed at creating awareness about the opportunities and impact of the world-renowned Dundee July.
The Expo brought together key stakeholders, including the uMzinyathi District Municipality LED Unit, uMzinyathi Development Agency (UDDA), Majuba TVET College, and several other partners, who shared valuable insights on careers, entrepreneurship, tourism, and economic development.

The speakers highlighted the importance of the Dundee July as one of uMzinyathi's flagship events, showcasing how it attracts thousands of visitors, boosts local businesses, creates employment opportunities, and contributes to the growth of the district's economy.
Attendees also learned about the importance of responsible horse care and the role that proper animal welfare plays in ensuring the continued success of this prestigious horse racing event.
