S. A is commemorating National Book Week from the 9th to the 13thof September 2020 & National Literacy Day on the 13th of September in collaboration with the DSAC. We are encouraging the nation to value the importance of reading.
Remember, there's no child who can't read, they just have not grabbed the right book.
In his 2019 SONA, President Ramaphosa said, "every 10 year old will be able to read for a meaning."
President Ramaphosa said that, "we will need to mobilize the entire nation behind a massive reading campaign that, early reading is the basic foundation that determines a child's educational progress, through school, through higher education & into the workplace.
It starts with us parents, let's read for our children & read with them.
