Tembisa Hospital to host various activities celebrating National Pharmacy Month 2026
Tembisa Hospital Pharmacy unit will host various educational activities celebrating National Pharmacy month 2026. National Pharmacy month under the theme:
“Ask Your Pharmacist. Your Pharmacist – Your Partner in Health.”
As part of the campaign, pharmacy staff will visit various hospital units and outpatient department (OPD) to conduct educational and awareness sessions with patients, staff and members of the community.
The aim of the campaign is to educate patients, staff and the community about the correct and responsible use of medicines, adherence to treatment, medication safety, and the importance of consulting pharmacists and other healthcare professionals when using medicines.
The campaign will also encourage patients to ask questions about their medicines, understand their treatment, follow prescribed instructions and report any concerns or side effects to their healthcare providers.
Through this initiative, the pharmacy unit aims to promote safe and effective medicine use, improve treatment adherence, and strengthen the role of pharmacists as partners in achieving better health outcomes.
