Rule 23.2.2: Meet as provided for in the rules and regulations, at least once every 2 (months) in a branch general meeting;
Rule 23.2.3: Be the place where members exercise their basic democratic rights to discuss and formulate policy;

This year’s celebration will be held under the leadership of the ANC Ward 88 Branch as part of our commitment to honour our history, celebrate our culture, and strengthen unity in our community.

The ANC is spearheading this event for the following reasons:
• To reflect on the unique identity of ward 88 which is in Soshanguve, whose very name represents unity in diversity; Sotho, Shangaan, Nguni, and Venda.
• To showcase and celebrate our local heritage, fashion, music, and creativity, while giving a platform to young people and artists.
• To remember and reflect on the historic landmarks and cultural memory of our township.
• To promote unity, pride, and reconciliation among all community members through a shared celebration of our traditions.

We encourage all residents to attend in their traditional attire as we showcase the rich cultural fabric of our people. Together, let us celebrate our heritage and reaffirm our pride in who we are.
