There is no reason to believe that there is something wrong with the African National Congress. The principles remain and the organisation still lives.
The love for the ANC dates back years before resources were available, and as a people there were many different reasons that people joined the movement, but the most important reason was the liberation of the people of South Africa.
Twenty years ago black people where given a space to govern, a space to be free and a space to finally be realised as humans. This came with many opportunities, challenges and trials. Here were people who had a century of racism, exclusion, hostility, moral degeneration, psychological retardation and general abuse from the oppressors who just switched roles in taking opportunities of oppressing the Africans of South Africa.
The liberation party of South Africa, along with the Comnunists and the Working class drove mass demonstrations to influence the governance of the country, to much success. Today we find ourselves at the ceiling of our past oppression's tolerance as a nation, and it is in this that the nation feels that the ANC has let them down.
The truth is that the past has had a great effect on the present, and it is in this why we would still find the children of the past oppressors still succeeding and the children of the past oppressed suffering. Our nation has a lot of history and baggage that people want to simply wipe away which is not possible.
Africans will always be required to be at the bottom, so when you read the news, listen to radio or switch on your TV always remember that you are not fighting a current struggle, you are still fighting the past.
ANC still lives.
